Lunar New Year is traditionally a time during which people travel to see their families. However, this year, the traditions remain at home. The Year of the Ox is upon us, and hopefully, we remain strong and hardworking just like the Ox.

We have a Lunar’s New Year playlist for you, but first, we’d like to highlight some of the recent attacks and hate crimes against Asian Americans. We should all be allies for one another. Marginalized communities should be working together to dismantle systemic racism. Although we should be celebrating the biggest holiday across Asian cultures, people and businesses are still hurting from xenophobia. Educating ourselves and taking action when we face or witness injustices will make us better allies. Furthermore, it’s important that we make sure mainstream media cover these injustices, and continue to uplift Asian and Asian American voices in a positive way.
