Joe Alwyn is a talented actor who rose to fame for his work in the 2016 film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. Alwyn has also appeared in Mary Queen of Scots, and he is set to star in the upcoming drama The Last Letter From Your Lover — which comes out on March 11 — as well as in the Hulu and BBC 3 series Conversations With Friends, out in 2022. But he isn’t just a gifted actor. Alwyn had his songwriting skills hidden up his sleeve, and he joined forces with Taylor Swift to make millions of fans cry.
Back in November, Taylor released her documentary Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. There, she revealed that Alwyn wrote parts of Folklore tracks “Exile” and “Betty” under the pseudonym of William Bowery. A month later, Swift’s ninth studio album, Evermore, hit stores and streaming services with three more songwriting credits for William Bowery. So, without further ado, and to celebrate Joe Alwyn’s 30th birthday this Sunday, here are the songs he co-wrote ranked.
