A lucky frontline nurse got the surprise of a lifetime when she received a huge gift box of merch from Taylor Swift.
Britta Thomason, a Peach County, Georgia nurse, did not expect to receive a present from her favorite singer, Taylor Swift. Thomason was interviewed by The Telegraph & macon.com, her Georgia hometown newspaper, about her experiences working through the COVID-19 pandemic; in the interview, she casually mentioned that Taylor was her favorite singer. Clearly, Swift saw the interview and wanted to give back!
On her Facebook page, Thomason revealed that Swift had sent her a gift box filled with merch, writing:
I mentioned in a recent news article with The Telegraph & macon.com that I am a big Taylor Swift fan…and this showed up at work today!! I’ve always seen videos of her fans opening packages she sent them but never did I EVER think I would be one of them! I’m not one to fangirl about anything, but if you know me, you know I’m a Swiftie! Don’t mind me…I’ll be crying the rest of the day 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️ Taylor, thank you!
The post also included photos of the merchandise, ranging from t-shirts to sweaters to water bottles to guitar picks and more. Swift also sent Thomason a handwritten note, which read:
“Dear Britta, I wanted to write to you and personally thank you for serving on the front lines of this pandemic and for being brave enough to put yourself in danger to help others. I am so inspired by your passion for helping and caring for your patients and I was so touched that you mentioned liking my music recently! I’ve sent you some cozy clothes for when you’re off duty. I’ll be thinking about you, and forever grateful! Love, Taylor.”
This is the latest act of kindness for the 30-year-old “willow” singer who has a long history of sending gifts to fans and organizations.
