Lord, ‘Have Mercy’ Because Chlöe is Slaying With Her Debut Single

The new queen has arrived and her name is Chlöe. If you don’t know who Chlöe is, maybe you heard of her duo act with her sister Halle aka Chloe x Halle. Or, you might have caught her on TV a few times. Either way, she’s one of Beyoncé‘s protégés, so you already know she’s a big deal. Now, Chlöe is having her solo moment with her debut singe “Have Mercy” and its accompanying music video.

“Have Mercy” is breathing art into music while simultaneously knocking down all Chlöe’s haters. “Have Mercy” is about celebrating being thicc. This gives the Georgia singer the opportunity to take back the power after receiving lots of negative online comments. Also, after watching the “Have Mercy” video, no one can deny that girls with a booty KNOW how to dance. Celebrating her body while singing and dancing flawlessly: Chlöe is her to stay and inspire.

If you didn’t already fall in love with “Have Mercy,” you have to check out the video. In it, Chlöe plays a modern Medusa, turning boys to stone in her sorority house. Additionally, we get a guest appearance from Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, as well as ones from Bree Runway and Rome Flynn. Throughout, Chlöe is also giving us a variety of high fashion looks. This women has a knack for story telling, dance, and design when it comes to video style. Chloe Bailey took a note from pop/R&B icon playbooks and ran with it.

Between flawless vocals and smooth production, Chlöe didn’t come here to play. Basically, she’s starting her solo journey strong. With a flare for the dramatic, smooth dance moves, and expensive taste, this is only the beginning for Chlöe. She’s no longer the young girl doing covers with her sister.
