Easy On Me Adele Single Cover

Adele Teases New Album with First Single, “Easy On Me”

It’s been 6 years since Adele has released new music. But on October 14th, she released her newest single “Easy On Me,” teasing her highly anticipated upcoming album 30, slated to release on November 19th, 2021. The powerful midtempo ballad, that makes your heartache for a loss you’ve never even had, reflects Adele’s real-life experiences of having recently gone through a divorce and teases the album in which she will be opening up about this difficult chapter in her life.

Adele reveals that she spent the past 3 years working on this album, and on herself, and is finally at peace with putting it out. This album, according to her statement, is a narration of how she rebuilt her home and heart after the most turbulent time in her life, and if her first single is any indication, I would urge you to be prepared to feel all the emotions tugging at your heartstrings.

Not only were we blessed with the single itself, but also with the beautiful music video that debuted along with it. The video starts with the image of Adele driving away from a house that was just sold – signaling new beginnings, with her mesmerizing vocals beseeching the world to go easy on her, while she embarks on this new chapter. Fans have already found easter eggs in the music video, referencing some of her past songs such as “Hello,” “Rolling In The Deep,” and “Chasing Pavements.”

Adele’s music has always been personal, heart-wrenching, and hauntingly beautiful, and this new album seems to promise nothing less than that. So come November 19th, grab a box of tissues, a bottle of wine, and have a listening party for 30 whilst crying your heart out for Adele, following on her journey of love, heartbreak, growth, and new beginnings.
