Seventeen Announces Fourth Studio Album Face the Sun

The K-pop group Seventeen has just announced the release of their fourth studio album, Face the Sun, dropping on May 27th through Pledis Entertainment. The record will be the first full-length release from the band since 2019’s An Ode, although they released a 2021 EP titled Attaca in October.

Seventeen teased Face the Sun’s reveal by releasing a poster with vague imagery such as cement stairs, a desert horizon, a map, and building structures. One of the members, S. Coups, expanded on what fans can expect from the record by telling Rolling Stone, “So far we’ve always been really sincere and honest with our music, but I think especially with this upcoming album, we’re very frank and showing our honest heart.

The thirteen-member band featuring: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi the 8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino dropped a new song just last Friday titled “Darl+ing” which acts as the soft-pop lead single of the upcoming LP. It’s also the first English-language track Seventeen has released. It’s reportedly a song that gives thanks to all their fans. The music video for “Darl+ing” focuses on the band as they caper around in a wheat field. It cuts back and forth between the field and an enchanting house where they are seen having fun and enjoying life.

Seventeen’s fourth studio album Face the Sun is out May 27th. With it being three years since their last full-length project, fans of the k-pop group will have lots to be excited about.
