Miley Cyrus Endless Summer Vacation

Miley Cyrus Sets Herself Free in Endless Summer Vacation

Last Friday, Miley Cyrus released her widely anticipated eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation. Miley unleashed her full potential on this record and created a product true to herself.

Overall, Endless Summer Vacation is a pop gem. Definitely, Cyrus’ first single, “Flowers,” was a commercial success, and this helped to make the album one of the most highly expected of 2023. Of course, fans are more than happy with the final product, where Miley lets herself free and gives her everything into each song.

In March 2021, Cyrus signed with Columbia Records after ending her eight-year contract with RCA Records. This change was definitely a good decision since Miley didn’t get the appropriate promotion for her music. After years of releasing good music, her work never really did as well as other pop musicians’; her biggest hit — before this album — was “Party in the U.S.A.” a song from 2009.

Along with the record, Cyrus released a special on Disney+ called Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions), where she performs some songs from the album as well as her iconic song “The Climb,” which she wrote for the Hannah Montana movie. About the album, Miley stated, “boredom, for an artist, can feel like torture, so I always need to reinvent, and, in this era, the way I’ve been doing that is bringing my audience into my endless summer vacation […] It’s a vacation from taking myself and the success of records so seriously and just doing it for the reason I started writing music.”

The 12-track album contains both energetic and slow songs, and it also includes features from Brandi Carlile and Sia. Without a doubt, Miley’s powerful voice is the star of Endless Summer Vacation, and this album is exactly what she needed not only for her career but for herself. Through the album, we can feel all of Cyrus’ emotions and notice that she has grown to accept anything and everything life has to offer.

You can listen to “Jaded” below, and remember to stream Endless Summer Vacation on your favorite music app and watch Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) on Disney+.
